In Jul 2005, ISTA signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Australian Technology Network (ATN) to strengthen the collaboration of the two networks. ATN is a network of five outstanding, innovative and enterprising universities in Australia, namely:

• University of South Australia
• RMIT University
• University of Technology, Sydney
• Queensland University of Technology
