Prof. Ding Lie-yun

Prof. Lie-yun Ding is currently the Party Secretary of Huazhong Normal University and the former Vice President of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He was also a professor, doctor, doctoral adviser of the Engineering Management Department of the Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
 
In recent years he has taken charge of several important projects in the Tenth Five-Year Plan, National Natural Science Foundation, and numerous scientific researches supported by the Province or the Ministry.
 
He is also very active in various organizations and advisory groups related to science and technology. He is now :
 
- a member of the Science Committee in the Ministry of Education,
 
- the Deputy Director of the Committee of Engineering Management Education in Universities,
 
- the Vice Chairman of the Hubei Institute of System Engineering, and
 
- the Vice Chairman of the Wuhan Association for Science and Technology.
 

 
Prof. Wang Zu-wen
President, Dalian Maritime University
Former Vice President, Harbin Institute of Technology
 
Prof. Zu-wen Wang is currently the President of Dalian Maritime University. He had been a Vice President, Professor and Doctoral Advisor of Harbin Institute of Technology, which is one of the member institutes of ISTA. He obtained his Engineering Doctorate degree in mechanical engineering from Sophia University, Japan.
 
Being an expert in pneumatics, Prof. Wang has taken charge of several important projects from the National Tenth Five-Year Plan and projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Significant research achievements include biomimetic muscle using pneumatics, supersonic gas lubrication for high-load applications, three-axis air floatation table for attitude control of satellites, etc.
 
Prof. Wang has received numerous recognitions to his outstanding research achievements and leadership of higher education institutions, including major awards from the Ministry of Education, Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, and the Heilongjiang provincial government.
 
Prof. Wang is currently Chair of the International Association of Maritime Universities, Council Member of the World Maritime University, Corresponding Fellow of the International Eurasian Academy of Science, and Vice-chairman of the China Institute of Navigation.
 

 
Prof. Zou Cai-rong
President, Foshan University
Former Vice President, Southeast University
 
Prof. Zou is currently the President of the Foshan University and the former Vice President of Southeast University. He is a specialist in telecommunication engineering. He has been a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Concordia University in Canada.
 
He is also very active in various organizations and advisory groups related to science and technology. He is now :
 
- a Committee Member of the Research Institute of Higher Education Scientific Research Management,
 
- the Chairman of the Nanjing Youth Association for Science and Technology
 
- the Vice Chairman of the Jiangsu Research Institute of Science and Research Management,
 
- the Vice Chairman of Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology in Higher Education
 
- an Editor of the international journal "Circuits, Systems and Signal Processing", and
 
- a Member of the Signal Acquisition and Processing Specialist Group for the national 863 Projects.
