Hosted by Zhejiang University,
the 16th Annual General Meeting cum Knowledge Transfer Forum: "Managing Technology Transfer:
a University Perspective" was held in Hangzhou on 21 Oct. More
than 70 delegates from ISTA, ATN, Ministry of Education
and Zhejiang Government attended the event.
The AGM had achieved fruitful discussions and had received
numerous precious suggestions from the participants,
regarding the activities completed for the past year
and the future development of ISTA. These include:
- Participation of International Exhibition of Inventions, New Techniques and Products, Geneva, Switzerland,
- Higher Education Leadership Development Programme,
- ATN-ISTA Nanonetwork, and
- PolyU Global Student Challenge.
Together with China Association for Management of Technology (CAMOT),
ISTA organized the Knowledge Transfer Forum: "Managing Technology Transfer: a University Perspective" in conjunction
with the Annual General Meeting. The Forum featured 3 keynote speeches, followed by an interactive panel discussion
with 4 senior executives from ISTA and ATN member institutions. Investigating technology transfer from three different angles,
namely international, Taiwan IC industry, and higher education institutions in Mainland China, the Forum discussed how
higher education institutions should adjust their technology transfer strategies in order to cope with the rapid changes in international
politics, economics and industrial development.

Finally, the delegation visited the History Museum and Exhibition of Technological Innovations and Achievements
of Zhejiang University and shared the experience in the research and commercialization
of advanced technologies.
