The 11th Annual General Meeting and the Technology
Collaboration Forum were held in the University of Shanghai
for Science and Technology in Yangpu, Shanghai on 27
Oct 2006. Over 70 delegates from the ISTA member institutes,
ATN member institutes, Shanghai Government, international
venture capitalists and Hong Kong/China enterprises
attended the events.
In the AGM, several ISTA member institutes delivered
presentations on key issues of technology development
in universities, including technology management, technology
commercialization, and establishment of science & technology
parks. The ATN delegates also presented the development
of e-Grad school in China.
In the technology collaboration forum, various speakers
delivered presentations on the technological progress
and perspectives of the renewable energy market (with
focus in wind energy and electric vehicle) from the
standpoints of academia, government, investors and enterprises.
Apart from these, the delegation visited the Shanghai
Haima (Mazda) Automobile R&D Co. Ltd., Donghai Bridge,
Yangshan Deep Water Port and Lingang New Area in Shanghai.
